Question: 2 nascar questions (makers and ryan newman)?

(Posted by: bostonfan148 on 2009-06-17 06:47:48)

1. What is the next car make that we see in NASCAR Hyundai? Saturn? Mazda (Ford has sold it) Honda? Other? And why can Ryan Newman not get big sponsorships, Haas has to sponsor him for a lot of races, I know that that is considered a sponsor, but Haas is just because they cant find anyone else. Newman always qualifies well and is in the top 5 in owners points with Tony Stewart as his teammate. Sorry to add another question but does anyone know when the Jayski 2010 page with rumors and all will come up. I thought 2009 was up around this time last year.

I think Honda will come in the next 3 years. They might start off in the truck series and then try and move up like Toyota. Ryan Newman- Good question. I think its just the economy and that nobody really thought Stewart Haas was going to be this good, I even thought that Stewart was not going to be a chase contender.

Honda and if Chevy leaves I think Hendrick will be the first to drive hondas I don't care what he says. I don't know why ryan can't find any sponsors he's as good as tony.

Honda and Newman didn't look like he was going to do well especially when Stewart gave him the car that didn't need to qualify on time at the beginning of the season.

I could see Honda in NASCAR sometime in the future and possibly Saturn if Roger Penske decides to use Saturn (he bought the company a few weeks ago). Ryan Newman is being sponsored by Haas in only 14 races this year while Army sponsors the other 22 races and i personally think Army is big sponsorship.

I would most likely see Honda entering the picture next as long as the economy picks up. They had interest in entering Nascar but shelved the plans due to the economic downturn. As far as Ryan Newman having trouble getting sponsorship, he is just not that popular. I can't think of anyone who dislikes him, but I also see very few fans. And we all know the sponsors want drivers whose fans are going to support their product.

Honda and it's probably just the bad economy as to why Ryan Newman can't get sponsorship

Honda. Do you realize how big of a company HAAS CNC is? And I'm laughing my butt off at the person that said he's as good as Tony. Are you serious?

I shudder to think NASCAR would be racing with hondas! I'm sorry, it just chokes me up! A honda just isn't a race car. Fords, Chevs, now those are race cars......... I'm not going to worry about it until we get to that point in time. Ryan Newman is a darn good driver. Tony picked a winner when he asked Ryan to join him. More sponsors will jump on board in the future. Right now we have such a rotten economy, that's probably why Ryan is lacking sponsors. But, the Army and HAAS are taking up the slack! That's all I know! STEWART HAAS RACING AT SONOMA!!!

How many Honda trucks do you see out in the world ? I would think Honda or Saturn. Who said Newman does not have a major sponsor, US Army is a big sponsor and is on the car for 22 races this year Haas is his team and sponsor for the rest,Haas needs advertising space so they can pay the bills.
