Posted by: nas88car 300#11 Prayers with you on 2009-08-09, 03:47:06 He has been warned many times and all they do is put him on probation time after time ... they need to fine and suspend him for at least 10 races and take 1000 points from him then maybe he will get a clue |

Posted by: Disney fanatic on 2009-08-09, 04:03:20 Robby is Robby and he never is going to change. He has always been like that in every division because he is a passionate driver. No he should have not taken Joey out like that and yes penalties should be given but they want the independent guys out there. i am a bigger Joey fan then Robby but they need to keep him around a little longer. Maybe garage him for a few races to see if that will calm him down |

Posted by: rocketman on 2009-08-09, 06:45:34 Logano is a pee pee boy. I'd love to see him in a sub par car try to compete with the field. He has had the best of equipment since he started racing. Lets put people on a pedistol that really deserve it. |

Posted by: Relative on 2009-08-09, 07:27:51 You don't have to worry about Lagono. He is far beyond the skill set of Robby Gordon and will spend little time the the back of the field with him. Robby Gordon is a looser and his driving reflects that. That is why he can't get to the front on most days. |

Posted by: Zachary S on 2009-08-09, 09:13:28 Robby Gordon Responds to Logano Incident in NNS race: Robby Gordon [#55] and Joey Logano [#20] both raced in the Watkins Glen Nationwide Race and got together late in the race, Gordon responded Sunday to the incident: "After reviewing the comments by Logano and the replay of the day's events, I felt that it was necessary to explain what happened during yesterday's race from my prospective. This whole turn of events started with Joey running into the back of my #55 in Turn 10. He then knocked me sideways in Turn 11. To show him my displeasure, I ran him down towards the inside wall on the front straight. I tried to do a crossover move in Turn 1 to get back by him; however, I missed judged a little resulting in both of us getting flat tires. During the final incident that ended Joey's day, we were racing for the lucky dog position. We both had good cars and were just trying to improve our finishing position for the day. After the bus stop chicane, Joey wrecked the No. 34 of Tony Raines. This contact allowed me to get underneath him in Turn 9. He saw that I was going to pass him for the Lucky Dog position, so he tried to block me. This maneuver resulted in his right rear tire connecting with my left front. From there, I felt he would be okay because he was in the section where the outer loop was. Rather than going down the inner loop, he decided to cut across the grass, hitting the tire barrier. At the end of the day I'm just glad Joey is okay. This is a highly competitive sport, and we are all very passionate when we are on the track. Tempers have a tendency to flare, but hopefully in the future we will both race each other cleaner. Under my own doing, I did stop by the NASCAR hauler this morning to converse with them about yesterday. There will be no repercussions from yesterday' events, " commented Robby Gordon.(RGM) Now you know what he was thinking. I think there's probably some truth to this. I don't think that wreck was intentional. From his side of the story, it sounds like Joey might have been partly at fault. I haven't seen a decent replay of that incident though to know exactly how it went down. |

Posted by: DM on 2009-08-09, 09:46:14 He should have been out of Nascar several years ago. Robby does this about every weekend and it's unfortunately going to cause injury eventually and I hope he gets in serious trouble. |

Posted by: dalejr4ever on 2009-08-09, 10:17:16 NO, we have so many boring drivers out there now, Robby helps keep it interesting. You are calling Robby stupid what about Logano trying to keep driving that car that was on fire, now thats dumb. Robby is not my favorite but he is super cool, hard charging, no fear driver, theres nothing like Tradin' Paint. Go Dale Jr |
