Posted by: bwfc on 2006-10-04, 14:50:23 I`d love to say yes,as I was a big fan of his in formula 1 however in Nascar, I think it will take him a while to bed in |

Posted by: mcmurrayjamiefan on 2006-10-04, 15:13:16 It would be pretty difficult to predict victory for somebody in his first stock car race. Will he run well, maybe. |

Posted by: PAPABILL on 2006-10-04, 15:32:46 Before he can attempt a win he has to qualify.Nothing against him but testing on tracks is no the same as qualifing. I'll be in the ARCA garages Friday. I humbly say congads to Montoyo for qualifing 2nd for the ARCA race.Hope he has a good finish.Any of the top 12 will be good. |

Posted by: fordkid14 on 2006-10-04, 19:01:35 Sorry, but not this Friday. He has a huge learning curve ahead of him and Talledega will be a "baptism under fire, " so to speak. He may have a decent showing for a rookie, but will rack up a DNF. There are quite a few wrecks in ARCA so I'm afraid he will wreck or get wrecked. |

Posted by: awesome_jarrett7 on 2006-10-04, 20:32:45 I think he will finish in the middle of the field, because it will take him a while to get used to stock cars. |

Posted by: Skillet Rocks! on 2006-10-05, 06:26:34 It is going to be a tough race for him, Talledega is tough place to start, no doubt. I am going to go out on a limb and say he will not win, but will come home with a top 10. |

Posted by: ki_kompton on 2006-10-05, 08:25:52 I think he will finish in the 30's |

Posted by: DaleJr#1Girl on 2006-10-05, 08:56:35 I don't think he's gonna win. I mean winning at Talladega on your first shot? He has a hell of a lot to learn about Nascar and he sure ain't gonna win on Friday night. Just because he tested good there does not mean that he will win or even come close. When he tested there was nobody else on the track. For example, look at the drivers who are in Nascar right now, they can qualify at the front and then they will slip down and at the end of the race they aren't even in the top 25 sometimes!! Talladega is a take no prisoners type of race track and Juan will be lucky to get a top 15 finish after that race is done! He is going to a completely different type of track and race car that he is not used to so he's gonna have to use this as a learning experience. I won't be suprised if he wrecks out or causes "the big one " in the Arca race. |

Posted by: heretolive on 2006-10-06, 18:42:00 Well, he finished 3rd, what a disgrace! i'm no fan of montoya, but if montoya doesn't win the nascar, it would be a very bitter pill to swallow for f1 fans all over the world. he should get all his f1 records expunged. imagine kobe bryant got beaten in a middle school pick-up game. what's difficult about nascar? impossible to miss an apex. (do they have apex in nascar?) anyway, if he doesn't win, he should either committed suicide or get disowned by the f1 community. |
