Can Someone Explain to me about Jamie McMurray?
He pitted before the caution came out. It didnt say he went any laps down. Then when the caution came out he didnt go in because he obviously didnt need to. So you assume hes in first, but they say Jeff Gordon is in first but Jamie is in front of him in the last car on the lead lap and then he gets lapped?? I dont quite understand the NASCAR ruling on this. Maybe im misunderstanding something. Please help if you know the answer.

I don't get to hear much NASCAR news, but these 2 guys are better drivers than some who have rides for next year.

From what I have read the Petty Yates merger has left Reed Sorenson without a ride in 2010 and Jamie McMurray was released from Roush because Roush could not have more than 4 teams. I like both of these drivers, but I am not sure of their futures in NASCAR. I hope the mighty Mike Helton is happy displacing drivers with his 4 per team rule. He said he didn't want drivers losing their jobs and that is exactly what is happening.

I could have sworn he did. i think i remember an article last season saying he signed an extension. I hope he continues there. I don't wanna see any of the Roush drivers go at the end of the season to accommodate NASCAR's 4 car team rule.The reason i ask this is because i have been hearing that Jamie has to perform this year or he may be out of a ride. But i thought he signed an extension so he would not be out of a ride. Idk....i might be imagining things but i hope i am not.
