Since they are garunteed a spot in the race, who will finish better, and what spots?

Bill Elliott will finish ahead of Terry Labonte. Bill Elliott will finish 30 Terry Labonte will finish 35 My reason is that Bill Elliott has raced more races than Terry Labonte this year and last year so he should have more experience in the new car. That is unless Terry has his own cot and has his own track and has been practicing with out anyone knowing. lol

Bill Elliot: 23rd Terry LaBonte: 38th

Bill Elliott will finish better. He has had some good finishes this year (15th at Charlotte, 16th at Michigan) just racing part-time for Wood Brothers. I will say he finishes about 15th. Terry Labonte will probably need the championship provisional to get in the race. I think he will finish around 35th. That #08 team hasn't raced much this year besides Boris Said driving at Infineon.

If it were to come to Champs provisionals, Terry gets the priority over Bill (Terry won his latest championship in 1996, Bill in 1988). That being said, Bill has seemed to do ok in the 21 when it hasn't run into trouble. Terry should qualify, but I will call on Elliott having the better finish (should finish top 20 if nothing happens, Labonte with a finish but nothing real good)

Neither is in the kind of equipment capable of winning. Elliott has qualified very well, but always falls back when the race begins. A guess for Elliott would be 23rd, and for Labonte 36th.

They're NOT guaranteed spots. Well, Terry Labonte is (1996) while Bill Elliot (1988) must race his way in.

Bill Elliot 24th and Terry Labonte 38th

Terry Labonte will take the past champ. provisional and start dead last he's done so in the last 3 strait years at the brickyard. His last 3 finishes are 36th in 05. Didn't race in 06, 30th in 07 and 27th in 08. so he'll probably finish about 30th or so. That means Bill Elliott will have to qual on time but that shouldn't be a problem based on how that car's qualified all year. In his last 3 are finishes 23rd in 05 22nd in 06 23rd in 07. He failed to make the field last year. 44th one spot short. BIll should finish about 25th or so.

Well, Terry is guaranteed a spot but Bill will have to race his way in. Haven't seen Terry in a Toyota before so this should be interesting.
